Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad insisted Friday his country theory that the world's most wanted terrorist, Osama bin Laden, did not die in the operation of Abbottabad, and said it has credible evidence that was held by U.S. much earlier.
Was quoted by state news agency Irna, the controversial ruling also stated that the news of his death is a propaganda action to address the American vote.
"I have accurate information that bin Laden was in the hands of the U.S. military for a long time. There was killed in the fight against terrorism, but to feed the propaganda in American society and attract the votes," he said.
"Former U.S. President (George W. Bush) attacked this part of the world to rescue the U.S. economy. To attract votes, killed a million people. His successor follows the same strategy," he stressed, referring to Barack Obama.
On 9 May, the Iranian Minister of Intelligence, Heydar Moslehi, and said his country does not believe the U.S. version, since it has "reliable information" that "long dead of disease."
Speaking to state media, the controversial head of the Iranian secret services also rebuked the United States to show the corpse of Bin Laden, according to the White House has been thrown into the sea to prevent his tomb became a place of worship.
United States has also refused to show pictures of the terrorist dead body, because in his opinion, could be hurtful and counterproductive.
"We have credible information that Bin Laden died some time ago of an illness. If the security apparatuses and the intelligence of truth have arrested or killed Bin Laden, why not show (his body), why they have thrown into the sea" he reiterated.
In the first official reaction from Iran after learning of the special operation against bin Laden in Abbottabad, north-west of Islamabad, the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ramin Mehmanparast, demanded the departure of U.S. troops from Central Asia, then, his view, the demise of Islam erases "the excuse" the war against terrorism.
